What was needed |
| |
|
|
| |
|
The original website for New Writing
North provided a great initial presence for this growing
organisation with a primary force for the development
of new writers in all genres (poetry, fiction, theatre,
film and new media) from the North East region. When New
Writing North decided to expand, they came back to Inovica
to look at the strategy for implementing a new site. |

What we did |
| |
|
|
| |
|
Following an initial consultation,
Inovica formulated a plan that would develop a new site
with complete flexibility in design and content, allowing
New Writing North to allocate sections to be administered
by non-technical users. The idea behind this was to free
up staff resources, but also to give a sense of ownership
for specific sections. We also revisited the navigational
structure of the site as the site was changing from being
an exploratory medium to more of an information portal. |

The result |
| |
|
|
| |
|
Since the new site launch, content
has been added to the site on a more regular basis and
has become part of the daily routine for many of the staff.
The site itself has become more useful to end-users who
are downloading more information and the number of pages
viewed per visitor has increased dramatically. |
