On 8th April 2010, at the iPhone OS 4.0 event, Apple CEO Steve Jobs let loose with some very interesting statistics. To date, Apple have sold 50 million iPhones and 35 million iPod touches. Jobs also noted that, while it's early days, 450,000 iPads have also been sold and this figure will be over 1 million within a month. That means that over 85 million people are plugged into the app network.
